April celebrates: Pet First Aid Awareness Month
First Aid for Animals is important to learn and knowing how best to handle pet accidents and emergencies. It is critical to be prepared if your pet gets heat stroke, broken bone, toxic indigestion, etc. In the month of April join the local Red Cross or your local shelter and find out more about helping protect and keep your pet healthy in Pet First Aid Awareness Month.
May celebrates: National Dog Bite Prevention Week
The third full week of May focuses on educating people about preventing dog bites. The majority of dog bites, if not all, are preventable. So it is important to take advantage of National Dog Bite Prevention Week to learn how to avoid injury. Help educate others so we can all work together to prevent dog bites.
June celebrates: Adopt a Shelter Cat Month
Your local animal shelters are filled with healthy, happy animals to need a loving home. Put your best paw forward by adopting a shelter cat. Your cat or kitten will be spayed, neutered, vaccinated, examined for good health and micro-chipped for identification if it does a “door dash” or wanders off.
