Camp Bow Wow and Behavior Buddies is a premier doggy day camp, boarding and training facility located in East County but serving all of San Diego County. It features an all-day, open play environment offering our four-legged friends a fun and safe environment while offering our two-legged friends peace of mind.

In addition to their doggy services, they have been active in the San Diego community since opening their doors in March 2008. One of their favorite programs is their Foster Dog Program where they partner with local Rescue Organizations to house rescued pups who are in need of a temporary foster parent until they find their forever home. The program allows the rescue organization to board their pup at Camp Bow Wow free until they find their forever home. Since opening our doors, 91 dogs in our Foster Dog Program have found their forever home! We have partnered with several rescue organizations such as Labrador Rescue, Labs and More, Labs and Friends, Spaniel Rescue, Basset Rescue and Chihuahua Rescue just to name a few.

Another program they support is the Scout’s Angels Program offered through the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. The mission of the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is to promote the health and welfare of animals worldwide by focusing on finding foster and lifetime homes for unwanted animals, promoting humane education and treatment, and investing in research and treatment for those devastated by illness and disease.

The Scout’s Angels Program supports communities in times of need by providing a healing outlet through dogs. The quickly growing Canine Care Team is comprised of certified therapy dogs and Canine Good Citizens dedicated to bringing comfort and smiles in furry form. The power of therapy dogs is truly incredible. They help people, especially children, open up and communicate things that they might not share with a therapist or other adults – just having a therapy dog present can make a child more willing to talk. Their Team has made two trips to Newtown, CT where they witnessed the amazing ability of these animals to draw out a smile or a laugh from people recovering from such a tragic event.

Please support their efforts by assisting with travel expenses and donating dog supplies so the Canine Care Team can spread love and healing to communities around the nation in times of need.
