October – Pet Wellness Month
October is National Pet Wellness Month so take this opportunity to make sure your friends are living a full and healthy life. Schedule a visit to the vet, make sure their tags are updated, reevaluate their diet and integrate activities into their lives that keep them active both mentally and physically.
November – Pet Cancer Awareness Month
While prevention is ideal, discovering cancer early in your pet can also improve their chances of survival. Take time during Pet Cancer Awareness Month to check your furry friend for lumps and watch for behavioral changes. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, make sure to visit your vet.
December – Winter begins
There are plenty of fun things to do with your pet during the cooler months such as hiking, camping in Julian, or attending festivals; just don’t forget to consider the weather before heading out. Consider their limits and dress them for the occasion, especially if you have a smaller dog.
