Southwest Airlines is dedicated to the highest quality of customer service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride and company spirit. They are not only a friendly airline but they are a pet-friendly airline who make flying with your pet a joy. In addition to your small vaccinated domestic cats and dogs that can travel with you in-cabin under the seat in front of you having paid the Pat Fare, Southwest Airlines is always happy to welcome trained assistance animals accompanying a Customer with a disability on all Southwest Airlines flights.
Except when too large to be safely accommodated, a trained assistance animal will be transported in the aircraft cabin. In accordance with federal safety regulations, the animal must be positioned so as not to obstruct Customers' expeditious evacuation in the unlikely event of an emergency. Emotional support animals are also accepted in the cabin, as Southwest Airlines knows animals assist people who have anxiety and other emotional disorders. Emotional support animals are also allowed to travel on flights to/from all domestic and international destinations with the exception of Jamaica.
Always remember to provide current documentation to a Southwest Employee prior to traveling with an emotional support animal.
