Celebrating 10 Years of Saving Lives.

After witnessing so many pet parents make the heartbreaking decision of euthanizing their animals due to financial constraints, a group of veterinarians and concerned citizens took action. They wanted to create a safety net for these struggling pet parents and a solution to this all-too-common issue. Thus, the Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) was born, a not-for-profit that provides financial assistance to pet owners who cannot afford emergency veterinary care. FACE has come a long way in its ten years of service to the pet community.

Consider whether you would prefer a pet you can curl up or prefer to watch at a distance. Always make sure to do your research but here is a helpful guide to help determine if your new friend will be happy, and most of these can easily be adopted at your local shelter!

Rabbits: Size and behavior make rabbits the perfect pet for an apartment. They are happy to roam around or being in a cage and they are furry and love to be snuggled.

Fish: Fish make for a perfect pet as they are easy to take care of and do not require much space. They are beautiful to observe just make sure you clean the tank consistently.

Turtle and Reptiles: They are playful; you can interact with them but they are independent.

From 1 - 5 pm, the Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) will host its 6th annual Bags & Baubles in Rancho Santa Fe to raise funds and awareness for local pets in need of critical or life-saving veterinary care.
